Therapy for
Creatives
“…I’m not the artist I’m the canvas” -Propaganda, Dig
You recognize your ability to change the world through your craft. You create and inspire others through art, music, design, fashion, baking etc. But what if it’s hard to translate that creative process to your personal habits, relationships, coping skills and day to day living?
Professionals
“I never sleep, cause sleep is the cousin of death…” -Nas, NY State of Mind
You perform at a high level and take pride in the quality of your work. You expect as much of yourself as you do of your team members. You aim for excellence, work hard, and crush goals. But maybe you’re struggling with a work-life balance. Or your boss is a jerk, or you’re having trouble resolving a conflict with that particular colleague. Or you’re feeling unfulfilled, burned out, or prepping for the next big interview.
Men
“His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy / There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti / He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready…” -Eminem, Lose Yourself
This moment right now is important. Asking for help can be uncomfortable and seeking therapy takes courage; life change is possible when you lean into that discomfort.
The phrase used to be “Dance like nobody’s watching.” The insinuation was that dancing in front of other people led to self-consciousness, to anxiety, and that when you dance like nobody’s watching you’re living more fully in the moment. Now with the risk of faux pas being caught on camera, the phrase may as well be “Dance Like Nobody’s Filming.” Check out our tips to help you cope with feeling self-conscious, inspired by Tyler the Creator’s STOP PLAYING WITH ME.
